Traditionally, day care centers have focused primarily on providing care and play. Children’s Lighthouse didn’t want to be just another babysitter. The brand was built with a focus on character values, using our proprietary Lighthouse Pathways Approach to Learning®, while also providing a place for children to be cared for, be loved, and most importantly, have fun!

If you’re wondering about the investment needed to open a Children’s Lighthouse Early Learning School, the net worth approximation is $750,000; the liquid asset range is $400,000.*

Children’s Lighthouse franchise owners whose schools were open for at least 18 months averaged gross revenues of $1,507,797 (see Item 19 in the 2022 Children’s Lighthouse Franchise Disclosure Document or FDD for details).

The good news is, when it comes to how to open a childcare business with Children’s Lighthouse, no prior experience in either field is required! That’s because our comprehensive training program will teach you about the industry and how to leverage our time-tested business model.

Children’s Lighthouse can direct you toward third-party financing sources that have worked successfully with many of our franchise owners.
Children’s Lighthouse has a 7% royalty fee and a .5% monthly advertising fee.

Children’s Lighthouse franchises are typically open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We are closed on weekends.

Our franchise training consists of four weeks: two weeks of training at the Children’s Lighthouse home office, one week of in-school training before opening, and one week of post-opening training in your school.
The site selection process is a highly collaborative course of action between you, a local real estate brokerage, and our internal real estate team. We have a detailed and collaborative site selection process that guides you and the project in a step-by-step manner.
Generally, it is an 18 – 36 month timeframe between signing your franchise agreement and opening day at your Children’s Lighthouse school.
