Franchisee Emily Fernando Continues More Than a Decade of Success with Children’s Lighthouse

Whether you’re planning for the future or diversifying your portfolio, franchising is certainly a path to consider. Reputable franchises present several unique benefits, including investing with a brand that already has an established identity and launching a business without starting from scratch.

Some franchisees become so passionate about their business that they choose to open several locations. Children’s Lighthouse franchisee Emily Fernando is a prime example of this.

Emily is an award-winning operator who’s been with Children’s Lighthouse for more than 10 years. In addition to her four existing locations, Emily plans to open another location in Fate in the near term.

“Every day, I strive to have an impact on the children and families enrolled in our early learning schools,” said Emily. “From sharing a special moment with one of our infants to giving a family a tour of our location, I want to play a special role in the lives of those we serve.”

Paving a path to academic success for young students, Emily embraces Children’s Lighthouse’s mission to provide high-quality early childhood education that helps stimulate intellectual development in a safe, warm and welcoming environment designed to bring out the best in children.

“I can’t stress enough the importance of this work. The early childhood education curriculum we offer is designed to educate children at a time when their brains are developing at their most rapid pace,” added Emily. “Research shows that these early years lay the foundation for all future development and learning, preparing children for success in school and beyond. I want to play an important role in this process by guiding our students towards a brighter future. We understand how far working hard and making a commitment to enriching children’s lives can go towards achieving our goals and making sure our families and students get the best experience possible. Our families and students notice the difference. We go to great lengths to set ourselves apart.”

Emily looks forward to the continued opportunity to positively impact families in the communities her schools serve. If you’re interested in becoming a Children’s Lighthouse franchisee, visit our franchise website to learn how you can join the Children’s Lighthouse franchise family.

Children’s Lighthouse Shows Support for Troops Through “Calling Home” Campaign

Children’s Lighthouse, widely recognized as the leading values-based early learning school in the United States, recently showed support for the men and women who fight for our country by providing the troops a way to speak to loved ones from overseas. Children’s Lighthouse’s recent “Calling Home” campaign was a true testament to the brand’s values-based curriculum and dedication to giving back to the community.

Throughout the month of December, Children’s Lighthouse students, parents and community members were encouraged to bring in VISA gift cards for the troops to use to call home from overseas. To accompany the gift cards, Children’s Lighthouse students created handmade cards thanking the men and women for their services.

Children’s Lighthouse takes pride in its top-notch network of franchisees, who were able to send the gift cards to Support Our Troops during the first week of January. As a Children’s Lighthouse franchisee, you can make a difference in many lives and inspire others to grow, learn and succeed, all while mentoring a passionate staff and enjoying a more balanced lifestyle.

New Children’s Lighthouse Location Opens in Richmond, Texas

Childrens Lighthouse Learning CentersSM has carved a special niche in educational child care by developing a proprietary Lighthouse C.A.R.E.SSM curriculum that focuses on both education and character growth. Now that same brand of early childhood development is going to enjoy a new home in Richmond, Texas when partners Karen and Zeff Walcher and Daniella and Patrick Simpson plan to open the doors to their first school in the winter.

Children’s Lighthouse franchisees such as the Walchers and Simpsons use their entrepreneurial skills and followed the educational franchise’s proven procedures to develop flourishing schools in their local communities. And while franchisees don’t need an educational background to launch a Children’s Lighthouse school, sisters Karen and Daniella will lean on their experience in the field to position themselves strongly in the neighborhood as they plan on opening more locations in the future.

Karen and Daniella have both been elementary school teachers. Daniella also served as an assistant director at a child care center while in college and has worked as a reading interventionist. For her part, Karen has a master’s degree in education. They are looking to develop community connections as they manage daily operations at the new Children’s Lighthouse school.

Franchisees like Karen and Daniella lean on the extensive real-world training that Children’s Lighthouse provides, along with targets for enrollment building and financial benchmarking. Such a comprehensive approach creates a strong foundation for a business in educational child care that parents and children also love.
